ABOUT US

Intercultural Kootenays is a registered non-profit organization operating on the unceded traditional territories of the Sinixt and Ktunaxa. We started in 2020 as a response to repeated racist incidents enacted by people in positions of power. Today we fight against discrimination in all forms and advocate for the equitable treatment of historically marginalized groups. We envision our communities as safe places where everyone is treated with respect.

We currently serve Nelson, Castlegar, and Trail and their surrounding areas.
